Meet Jesus! WOW! This statement in itself is somewhat obscure. I mean, Jesus lived over 2000 years ago and His legacy is still going strong. We have presidents who are not as famous nor as desirable, yet we will never meet them. So, when you hear that you can have an actual relationship with Jesus –it sounds a bit farfetched. We have all heard about the miracles that Jesus performed. If you are at least 5 years of age, you have heard about Christmas. The man has a birthday that people not only remember and celebrate, but actually give their best gifts. Seriously, Jesus fed 5000 people with 2 fish and five loaves of bread. He turned water into wine. He raised people from the dead. In fact, His existence was such a phenomenon –His name was God with Us.

More than anything, Jesus Christ wants to be your Savior and Friend, and He offers what we cannot give … eternal life with Him and joy in Heaven. How can you have that life? It is simpler than you think.

The foundational Scripture: John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Admitmeans “agreeing with God” that I am a sinner, and that I sin.

Repentmeans turning around and going in the opposite direction, away from sin, and to salvation.

This means recognizing ourselves as a sinful human being with a sin nature and admitting that we are not “good” in any way. It also involves repentance. That means we repent or “turn around” (or away) from sin and face toward the loving arms of a holy Savior.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23

Believemeans I truly know ,without a doubt, that Jesus died for my sins.

Trustmeans I know when I fall that HE WILL catch me, no matter what and save me for all eternity.

This means to trust in your heart that Jesus loves you, and will rescue you from your sin and your sinful nature, and accept you into His family and grant you eternal life. It is not just knowing about Jesus Christ, but it is actively trusting Him to reach out and take you by the hand and welcome you to His family and bless you with both eternal life (heaven) and abundant life (here today).

“As Scripture says, Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”                                                              Romans 10:11

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.                                                 1 John 1:7

Confessmeans I call out that Jesus is my Lord,  that He saved me, and agree with Him that He died for my sins.

Speakmeans I am eager to open my mouth and say “Jesus is my Lord.”

This means you "say it with your mouth" that Jesus is the Lord and that you are giving yourself totally and completely to His ownership and to His control.

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.                Romans 10:9-10, NLT

You can pray and ask Jesus Christ into your life right now … where you are.

Pray this simple prayer and mean it in your heart, and God will give you eternal life.

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose from the grave. I turn from my sins and turn to you, asking You to forgive me of my sins and save my soul, giving me eternal life with you in heaven when I die. I believe and trust you to keep me for all eternity. I confess right now that you are my Lord, and I give you complete ownership of my life. Thank you, Jesus for saving me. Amen!
